THE PADDY ROBOTMOONDINO®️

MOONDINO®️, built by ARVAtec Srl in Italy under a patent license from Eco Process & Solutions S.a., is an agricultural robot for mechanical weeding in rice fields that works in full autonomy, without an operator on board, moving on both dry and submerged terrain. It is equipped with 2 photovoltaic panels that power the electric motors that equip the vehicle without the use of fossil fuels! The energy from solar sources accumulated in the batteries is sufficient to guarantee working autonomy even in the absence of light.

MOONDINO®️ is a small revolutionary machine of modular design that is put into the field after sowing and dominates the weeding of about 10 ha of rice fields by operating exclusively mechanically. It moves in the field at a speed of 1 km/h, on a 24/24 cycle, and works repeatedly in rotation in the chambers, without ever stopping, for about 1.5-2 months from the date of rice sowing. The latter, to allow MoonDino to operate, must be carried out in rows with RTK precision technique.

The innovation of the MOONDINO®️ robot involves the transition to a field work philosophy that includes the reduction of soil pollution, the elimination of fossil fuel consumption, the containment of the use of fertilizers and other chemical substances for plants: MOONDINO is thus configured as an innovative and ecological machine.

No fuel costs

MOONDINO®️ also brings advantages in terms of reducing fuel costs – which are eliminated with the obvious economic advantages – and carbon emissions into the atmosphere, with the obvious environmental advantages. Solar power allows you to reach the goal of “zero emissions” of CO₂ for total respect for the environment!

As regards the productivity of companies and the economic sustainability of investments, the introduction of the robot in a company also allows small companies to acquire the maximum innovation, given that the surface module that can be controlled by the machine is approximately 10 ha.
